BIO: Manic clinical depression, self medication and a sense of humor are amazing bedfellows. I don't think there's a better way to describe this tangled mess of criminally good pop punk.

BAND: DRUNKEN BOAT
HOMETOWN: PORTLAND, OR
FOUNDED: 2004
WEBSITE: www.drunkenboatpdx.com
MEMBERS:
Dave: Drums
Harrison: Vocals/Guitar
Josh: Vocals/Guitar/Harmonica
Samia: Bass/Vocals
DISCOGRAPHY:
"S/T" CD/LP (1-2-3-4 Go!/Salinas)
"Turn it" 7" (Salinas)
Split w/ Bent Outta Shape 7" (Salinas)
Split w/ Blotto 7" (Snuffy Smiles/Salinas)
BIO: Drunken Boat embody a lot of the elements I loved about the gritty pop-punk pioneered by East Bay bands, aided and abetted by Lookout! Records in the late 80's and early 90's . Gravel throated earnest anthems about the politics of the heart, their community and the world at large with a sense of urgency and meaning. The sort of music that provides the heart, soul and conscience to a community that can sometimes feel like it has none. Yeah...all of that and a decent portion of fun garnish. If you asked a cave man to explain it he would say "Boat make boom boom scream scream me like".

BAND: HICKEY
HOMETOWN: SAN FRANCISCO, CA
FOUNDED: 1994 to 1997
WEBSITE: www.mattyluv.com
MEMBERS:
Aesop: Drums
Chubby: Bass
Dwight Trash: Bass
Matty Luv: Guitar/Vocals
DISCOGRAPHY:
See www.mattyluv.com
BIO: "Others maintained the genre, HICKEY evolved it." Others have said it and I believe it. Were they geniuses? Loadies on a socio-political sarcasm-laced guitar based rampage? Leaders of a Naked Cult out to take down the man in all his evil incarnations? Guys just like us? Depends on who you talk to. All i know for sure is that Hickey had a huge affect on me when I got in to them in the late 90's and their spirit, sense of humor and aesthetic was a huge driving force behind starting this very label and are a constant inspiration to this day. There's a huge deep rich history tied up in this band that can't really be properly explained in a little paragraph under a photo. Do yourself a favor and check out www.mattyluv.com.

BIO: They sound like all kinds of bands you like but with their own style and they all used to be in other bands you've heard of and think are good. If you're like me this is all true. If you're not you should pester justin to write that bio he said he would...he's good at stuff like that but needs to be pestered from time to time.

BAND: THE HORDE
HOMETOWN: PORTLAND, OREGON
FOUNDED: 2002
WEBSITE: www.tongueofdeath.com
MEMBERS:
Thomas Demise: Bass/Vocals
Aaron Edge: Drums
Mike Hay: Vocals
Sammy Lugosi: Guitar/Vocals
DISCOGRAPHY:
Join Or Die CD (1-2-3-4 Go! Records)
Self Titled 7" (1-2-3-4 Go! Records)
BIO: Conceived in a hauntingly dark corner of a dirty basement in Portland, The Horde have trudged through a short grief-stricken life. Like carcasses slung up on hooks, they packed themselves into a small coffin-like room to create fast, violent anthems of destruction. Wielding the band as a weapon, the four members (Mike Hay, Thomas Demise, Sammy Lugosi and Aaron Edge) unleashed a brief,
but intense assault on the Northwest... leaving a four-song "s/t" (1-2-3-4 Go! Records) ep as a lonely tombstone in 2003, over a now exhumed grave. Reborn from the shadows of death and with an aching desire for annihilation, the choir of the damned have once again assembled.

Maldecido CD (1-2-3-4 Go! Records)
Split 7" w/ The Sainte Catherines (Vinehell/Yo Yo)
Self Titled CD (Vinehell Records)
BIO: Based out of San Jose California Whiskey Sunday have been bringing a rumbling assault of stiff drinks, gruff vocals and murderous seafaring science fiction punk since 2002. Melding together elements of Naked Raygun/Pegboy, Leatherface, Bad Religion The Murder City Devils, and The Misfits in to their own style of hard drinking melodic south bay area punk rock and roll. After hearing their demo a few years back in a friends car I knew I had to do a record with them. It took awhile but Maldecido finally came to fruition. It's their second full length and the first for 1-2-3-4 Go!.

MEMBERS:
Shane Haven: Drums
Todd Rockhill: Guitar
Alex Ulloa: Vocals
Jim Wells: Bass
DISCOGRAPHY:
Self Titled 7" (1-2-3-4 Go! Records)
Self Titled CD (Self Released)
BIO: Unstoppable hardcore punk powerhouse from Gainesville Florida. That's what I would say had they not broken up...sort of negates that whole unstoppable thing. Everything else is still true though. These guys broke up waaaaaaaay too soon leaving behind only one release but lucky for us front man Alex Ulloa carried on shortly thereafter with Black Cougar Shock Unit with a lot of the same spirit HOF had. Do you like those "this band featured members of..." things? If you do...this band featured members of Panthro UK United 13, Discount, The Draft, Army of Ponch and Unitas.

BAND: FIFTH HOUR HERO
HOMETOWN: SAINT ROMUALD, QUEBEC
FOUNDED: 2000 to 2007
WEBSITE: www.fifthhourhero.com
MEMBERS:
Dave - drums
Mathieu - bass/vocals
Olivier - vocals/guitar
Genevieve - vocals/guitar
DISCOGRAPHY:
See their official site!
BIO: People say they sound like Discount. I know for a fact no one in Discount could rock kick as high as Oliver or seduce you with sexy French Canadian accents the way they can. I stole these guys for a few songs from No Idea Records who guards their recordings fiercely. Recording them then holding on to the music for months, teasing us with ever changing release dates.

MEMBERS:
Hugo - Vocals
Louis - Guitar/Vocals
Marc-Andre - Guitar/Vocals
Frederic - Guitar/Vocals

Check out their website!
BIO: The Sainte Catherines are what you would call touring machines! In two years of active touring, they have played over 350 shows across Canada, the USA and Europe. Their live show is extremely intense and just keeps getting crazier as the tours go by. They combine the power of Avail, the intelligence of Neurosis, the intensity of At The Drive In, the message of Refused with their own unique sense of provocation and spirit. These guys recently hooked up with Fat Wreck Chords for a full length release in 2006.

DISCOGRAPHY:
Self Titled CD (Fueled By Ramen)
Homecoming 7" EP (1-2-3-4 Go!)
BIO: Foundation is Rob Huddleston's (Ann Beretta) rarely seen more acoustic project. How little material he's released is a tragedy I attempted to fix with a 3 song 7" featuring guest vocalist Alison Mosshart (Discount/The Kills) on the song No Smoke.

split w/ 1-2 Go! Crew (1-2-3-4 Go!)
BIO: Spitting Teeth slogged it out in Seattle for almost 4 years with their pretense free brand of thrash/hardcore with a sense of humor. After three 7's, a comp appearance and a couple ill fated tours they finally collapsed in 2004. Members went on to be in bands including Cold Sweat, Skarp, Book of Black Earth, Abraham Lincoln Killing Machine and Furious Styles.
